CWS Market Review – July 4, 2025

I hope everyone is having a happy July 4. This will be an abbreviated issue as it’s a holiday-shortened week, and frankly, there’s not much news.

The stock market closed early on Thursday, and it’s closed all day on Friday. From what I can tell, most of the bigtime investors headed off to the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard.

Despite the subdued mood on Wall Street, or maybe due to it, the stock market continues to be doing quite well. In the last nine sessions, the S&P 500 has closed higher seven times, and one of those losses was microscopic. Since April 8, the stock market has gained 26%. Once again, doing little has paid off for us.
